Overview
Learn Content is the core building block of the GFoundry Learn module. Each content item is a structured learning experience that can combine multiple block types - presentations, videos, PDFs, quizzes, tasks, and more - into a single course or training page. Administrators create and manage content items in the backoffice; learners consume them in the web or mobile app.
How to access Learn Content
Go to Modules → Learn → Learn Content in the left-hand navigation menu.
The Learn Content List shows all existing content items with their thumbnail, name, creation and update dates, category, available content block types, and current status. Use the Search field or Filters to find specific items. The language tabs (PT,
EN, DE, FR, ES, IT) let you switch the display language of the list.
How to create a new content item
Click Add Content in the top-left of the Learn Content List.
A dialog appears with two options:
Add Content Manually - build the content item step by step, adding blocks one at a time.
Generate Content with AI ✦ - use GFoundry Intelligence to automatically generate learning content based on a topic or uploaded materials.
Select Add Content Manually to open the creation form.
Select the language tab (PT, EN, DE, FR, ES, IT, (...)) and fill in the fields for each language you want to support.
Upload a Thumbnail - the cover image shown in the content library and search results.
Enter the Content Name (required, up to 255 characters).
Enter a Content Description (optional, up to 800 characters) - a short summary shown to learners before they open the content.
Configure the General settings:
Content Category - assign the content to a category so learners can find it in the right section.
Hide Content Header in Details View - when enabled, hides the content header from the learner-facing detail page.
External Content - transforms this item into a link to external content. When enabled, learners are redirected to an external URL; internal Quiz Content is disabled.
Enable Employees Training Validation & Evaluation - allows training managers to manually confirm and score each employee's completion of this content.
Assign a Content Producer (the team member responsible for this content) and optionally a Content Revisor.
Set Content Segmentation to restrict visibility to specific groups or teams, if needed.
Click Save to create the content item. You will be taken to its detail page.
The Content Item detail page
After creating or clicking into a content item, you land on its detail page. This page has two areas:
The Learn Content Details panel on the left - a summary of the item's metadata: thumbnail, name, description, category, producer, creation and update dates, status (e.g. Published, Building), and version. Click Edit to modify any of these fields.
The main panel on the right - the Actions bar and five management tabs.
Actions
The Actions bar at the top of the right panel provides the following controls:
Preview & Share - open a live preview of the content as learners see it in the app, and get a shareable link.
Unlist - remove the content from the catalogue without unpublishing it.
Unpublish - revert the content to draft/building state so it is no longer visible to learners.
Duplicate - create a copy of this content item with all its settings and blocks.
Archive - archive the content item to retire it without deleting it.
Reports… - view engagement and completion data for this content item.
Management tabs
Content Preview
Shows a live preview of the content exactly as learners will see it in the app - including the cover image, title, category breadcrumb, progress bar, and any gamification indicators (rankings, badges). Use this tab to review the visual appearance before publishing.
Content Management
This is where you build the content item by adding and managing content blocks. Click View on any block type to open its editor. The available block types are:
Intro Content Block - the most prominent block, appearing first on the content page. Supports multimedia, HTML, and embedded external content.
Presentation Content - a slide-based format for structured content delivery, ideal for lectures and reports.
PDF Content - attach downloadable PDF documents such as study guides, lecture notes, or reference materials.
Video Content - embed videos for tutorials, lectures, or demonstrations.
Quiz Content - add interactive questions to test and reinforce learner understanding, with immediate feedback.
Tasks - define task lists for learners to complete, with clear titles and descriptions to guide structured activities.
Discussion Board - enable a collaborative space where learners can post questions, share insights, and engage in peer-to-peer learning. This block must be explicitly enabled.
Skills Overview
Displays a Skills Breakdown chart showing the skills associated with this content item. Skills are linked through quiz questions. If no quiz content has been configured with skill mappings, this tab shows "No Content Available".
Additional Fields
Shows any Custom Fields configured for Learn Content items. These are optional metadata fields used for reporting and filtering. Click Manage Fields to create or edit the available custom fields for your organisation.
Learning Path
Links this content item to the next piece of content learners should study. Click + Add Next Content to select the follow-up content item. Once set, learners can navigate between connected content using arrows within the app, following a logical learning sequence.
Tips and best practices
Always fill in the Content Description - it appears in the catalogue and helps learners decide whether the content is relevant to them.
Use the Intro Content Block to set the context for your content before learners engage with presentations, videos, or quizzes.
Enable Training Validation & Evaluation for compliance or certification training where manager sign-off is required.
Use Content Segmentation to target content at specific teams or groups, avoiding information overload for the rest of the organisation.
Set up Learning Paths to guide learners through a curriculum in a defined sequence.
Use Preview & Share before publishing to verify the content looks correct on both web and mobile.
Use Generate Content with AI ✦ to create a first draft quickly, then refine the blocks manually in the Content Management tab.
