My Career: what each tab is for
My Career brings together your goals, development plans, evaluations, Touchpoints and private notes. This article explains what each tab shows and why your tabs may differ from a colleague's.
What is My Career?
My Career is where you follow your own development at work. Open it from the side menu, in Development & Growth > My Career. Your company may use a different name for this area or place it elsewhere in the menu.
Which tabs you see
The tabs depend on how your company runs evaluations. Timeline is the most recent version of My Career, but some companies do not have it yet. Your company may still use the previous view, with separate Touchpoints and Evaluation tabs; this article covers both.
With Timeline, your tabs are Timeline, My Career and My Notepad. Evaluations and Touchpoints are phases inside Timeline.
In the previous view, your tabs are My Career, My Notepad, Touchpoints and Evaluation. If your company does not use Touchpoints, only Evaluation appears.
Some managers also see a Dashboard tab (see below).
Timeline
Timeline shows your whole year of evaluations on one page. Instead of looking for your evaluation and your Touchpoints in separate tabs, you see every phase of the year in order, where you are now and what is still waiting for you.
The cycle. At the top you see the cycle you are looking at, for example Current annual cycle or 2025 cycle. Use the year selector to see other years.
The line of the year. A bar shows the months from January to December, with a mark for today. The phases you have finished and the phase happening now are coloured on the line, so you see where you are in the year.
A short summary. A line tells you where you stand, for example how many steps you have left to submit, or which phase comes next.
The phases. One card per phase, in order: for example your evaluation, the preparation for next year, a Touchpoint or a 360 evaluation. Each card shows its state: In progress, Deadline: <date>, Available on <date>, Upcoming, Done on your side or Closed. Use the arrows to see earlier or later phases.
What is left to do. Click a phase. In the Me tab, the To do list shows each item of that phase and how many are ready, for example evaluate your goals, evaluate your skills or set goals for next year. When everything is ready, you submit the phase from there.
If you manage a team, a phase also has a Team tab with the people you evaluate. If a colleague invited you as a peer in a 360 evaluation, you also see a Peers tab.
My Career
At the top you see your job category and, in some companies, your career.
My Smart Goals: your goals, in the tabs Individual, Team and Collective. A tab only appears when you have goals of that type. Click a goal to see its details, comments and updates.
My Individual development plans: your development plans (IDPs) and their status.
My archetype, if your company uses archetypes: a description of your work profile with tips for development.
My team, only if you manage a team: the people you manage. Click a person to see their goals and development plans.
My Notepad
Private notes that only you can see. If you manage a team, a second tab, My private team notes, holds your notes about the people you manage.
Touchpoints (previous view)
If you see this tab, your company uses Touchpoints: check-ins during the year. A Touchpoint can ask you to evaluate your goals and skills, answer questions, and set goals or development plans for the next period. You complete your part, then your manager completes theirs. The tab lists the Available touchpoint periods.
Evaluation (previous view)
If you see this tab, it lists your Evaluation cycles. Each card shows the evaluation period and either Available until <date> or Evaluation cycle closed. Open a cycle to complete your self-evaluation. Preparation cycles for the next year appear in the same list.
Dashboard (some managers)
Some companies give managers a Dashboard tab with an overview of their team's evaluations. It is only available on the web, and not every manager has it.
In the mobile app
Tap Menu at the bottom of the screen and then My Career (swipe left if you do not see it). Inside it, the sections (Timeline, My Career, My Notepad) are in the bar at the bottom. The pages and the steps are the same as on the web.
Dashboard is not available in the app.
If you do not see this
Your company may use a different name for this area or place it elsewhere in the menu.
If the area is called Evaluation and has a single Home tab, your company uses evaluations without the My Career page. Home lists your evaluation cycles.
If your modules are listed at the top of the page instead of in a side menu, open My Career there. Its tabs appear at the top of the module.
If you see no evaluation area at all, your company does not use evaluations, or they are not switched on for your group. Ask your HR team.
My Smart Goals only appears when you have goals. My team only appears if you are registered as a manager in GFoundry.
