How to use My Notepad
My Notepad keeps private notes about your work and, if you manage a team, about the people in it. Only you can see your notes.
Before you start
Your company uses the My Career area.
Your notes are private: the editor says This note will be visible only to me. Notes you write about a team member are not visible to that person.
Steps to add a note
Go to My Career > My Notepad.
In My private notes, click Add.
Write your note. A note can have up to 2000 characters.
Click Add to save it. Empty notes are not saved (You cannot add an empty note!).
Edit or delete a note
Click the three dots on the note and choose Edit. Change the text and click Update.
To delete it, click the three dots, choose Delete and confirm with Delete. A deleted note cannot be recovered.
Long notes are cut short in the list. Click See more to read the whole note.
If you manage a team
A second tab, My private team notes, holds your notes about the people you manage.
Click Add, choose the person (Add note to), write the note and click Add.
Use the team member filter to see the notes about one person.
You can also open your notes about someone from their career page, in My Career > My team: click Open next to My private notes about <name>. If you see Timeline, the person's evaluation page also shows your latest notes about them, with Add note.
In the mobile app
Tap Menu at the bottom of the screen and then My Career (swipe left if you do not see it). Inside it, the sections (Timeline, My Career, My Notepad) are in the bar at the bottom. The pages and the steps are the same as on the web.
If you do not see this
No My Notepad tab: your company does not use the My Career area. Your company may use a different name for this area or place it elsewhere in the menu.
No My private team notes tab: you are not registered as a manager in GFoundry.
There are no results for this list...: you have not written any notes yet.
