Choose whether learners can skip through videos, whether they must confirm reading a PDF or a Text & Media Block, and which skill tags link the content to your skills catalogue.

In the video content window, use Allow video seeking:

Turn it off when completion should reflect real viewing.

In the PDF content window, turn on Read Confirmation Needed. Learners then have to tick a checkbox to confirm they have read the PDF.

This is useful when the document is part of a formal process and you need a clear acknowledgement from the learner.

If you see the Reading rules section in the Text & Media Block window, turn on Require employees to confirm they read this content. Learners then have to tick an acknowledgement checkbox for the read to count; without it, opening the content is enough. If the content has interactive blocks, learners must complete them correctly before they can tick the acknowledgement.

If skills are active on your platform, the video and PDF windows show a Skill Tags field. Quiz questions also have Skill Tags. Tagging links the content to your skills catalogue, and the tagged items appear in the content's Skills Overview tab.

If you add no tags, the content still works for learners, but it is not linked to any skill.

If you upload a new video file, Allow video seeking and the skill tags can only be saved once the video finishes processing.

If the content is already published, review these settings carefully before saving, because they change what learners must do to complete the content.
