Global Quiz Settings and Quiz Issues
Configure the default game-mode parameters applied to all quizzes and the global ranking points, and review the issues users report on quiz questions.
What is the Quiz Settings page?
In the backoffice menu, go to Learn > Quiz Settings. The page configures the default game-mode parameters applied to all quizzes. It shows five cards: Classic Mode, Genius Mode, Ladder Mode, Battle Mode and Ranking Score. Click Configure on a card to edit it, then click Save Settings.
These are defaults. The settings of an individual quiz are explained in Configuring a Quiz: Game Modes, Test Mode and Rules.
Classic Mode
Game Structure: Number of Levels, Questions Per Level, Answers Required to Pass (the correct answers needed to pass a level, never more than the questions per level) and Seconds Per Question.
Behaviour: Show explanation for correct answers.
Points: Points for Right Answer, Points for Quick Answer, Points for Slow Answer and Level Complete Multiplier (when a level is completed, its points are multiplied by this value).
Helps: how many of each help are available and their cost in coins: More Time (with Extra Time (seconds)), Remove Wrong, Right Answer Help and Skip Question.
Rules: the Classic Mode Rules text shown to users.
Genius Mode
Game Structure: Max Levels, Questions Per Level and Seconds Per Question.
Behaviour: Show explanation for correct answers.
Points: Points for Level Complete.
Helps and Rules: as in Classic Mode.
Ladder Mode
Game Structure: Questions Per Game and Seconds Per Question. In this mode each question is a level (a rung of the ladder).
Points: Points Per Completed Level.
Helps and Rules: as in Classic Mode.
The bonus points for reaching 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of the ladder are set per quiz, in the quiz's Ladder Mode settings.
Battle Mode
Behaviour: Battle mode available (allow users to play Battle Mode).
Game Structure: Questions Per Game and Seconds Per Question.
Points: Points for Win and Points for Lose.
Helps: More Time, Remove Wrong and Right Answer Help, with their quantity and coin cost.
Rules: the Battle Mode Rules text.
Ranking Score
Sets the Global Ranking Points awarded across game modes:
Points for passing a Classic Mode level
Points for passing a Genius Mode level
Points for passing a Ladder Mode level
Points for winning a battle
Points removed for losing a battle
What is the Quiz Issues page?
In the backoffice menu, go to Learn > Quiz Issues. It lists the issues users report on quiz questions, with the User, the Issue, the Date and the Status (Unread, Read or Closed). You can switch between Unread and All Issues and search the list.
Use the row actions to View issue or Delete issue. The issue details show who reported it, the type, the quiz, the Learn Content, the question and when it was reported, with links to Open question and Open quiz.
