How do I add a video file (not a YouTube link) to a Learn Content?

Whether you can upload a video file yourself depends on your platform. The video form tells you which case you are in.

Open the Learn Content in the Backoffice and edit its video content.

If you see the choice YouTube link / Upload video, you can upload the file yourself. See the steps below.

If you only see Youtube Video Url, videos can only be added by YouTube link on your platform. To use a video file, send it to Support (see below).

Drag the file into the upload area, or click it to browse. Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV and MPEG. The maximum size is shown in the upload area.

Wait while the file uploads and is processed. The status changes from Uploading to Queued for processing, Processing video and finally Video ready.

1. Choose Upload video.
2. Drag the file into the upload area, or click it to browse. Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV and MPEG. The maximum size is shown in the upload area.
3. Wait while the file uploads and is processed. The status changes from Uploading to Queued for processing, Processing video and finally Video ready.
4. Save the video content.

You can close the window while the video is processing; the upload continues in the background. Settings such as Allow video seeking can only be saved after processing finishes.

Unsupported file type: convert the video to MP4 and try again.

File is too large: compress the video or shorten it, then upload it again.

Storage quota exceeded: your platform has reached its video storage limit. Contact Support.

Processing failed: try Upload a different file; if it fails again, contact Support with the file.

Create the Learn Content first. Support adds the video to an existing Learn Content; it does not create the content for you.

Quiz questions cannot contain videos.

News articles can embed a video by link in the text, but you cannot upload a video file there.

If your video form offers Upload video, upload MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, MKV or MPEG files yourself; if it only offers a YouTube URL, send the file to Support.
