Learn Content PDF Upload and Extraction
Upload a PDF to create PDF Content and let GFoundry extract the title and description automatically. If extraction fails, you can fill in those fields yourself.
How do I upload a PDF and extract its content?
Go to Modules > Learn > Learn Content, then open the Learn Content item you want to edit.
Select the PDF content area, then click Upload PDF or Add PDF Content.
Choose your file in the upload window. The PDF file is required.
Wait for Content Extraction to finish. The status changes to Processing, Processed, or Failed.
If extraction is successful, review the Extracted Title and Extracted Description. You can edit them before saving.
If extraction fails, enter the title and description manually in the available fields.
Use Read Confirmation Needed if you want learners to confirm they have read the PDF.
If your company uses skill tags, add them in Skill Tags.
Click Create or Update to save the PDF content.
What does the extraction status mean?
Processing means the platform is still reading the PDF and extracting text. Processed means the title and description were extracted and are ready to review. Failed means extraction did not complete, so you should enter the details manually.
Can I replace the PDF later?
Yes. Open the PDF content again and use Replace PDF if you need to upload a new file.
