Training Program Scheduling
Set when a training program starts and how its due date is calculated. Recurrence cannot be set in the editor: programs you create there are one-time assignments.
What do I need to fill in for scheduling?
In Scheduling, set the dates that control when the training becomes available and when it is due.
Training Start Date: the date when the training becomes active. This field is required.
Due Date Rule: how the deadline is calculated: Fixed Date, Days from Assignment, Days from Hire or Days from Effective Date.
Due Date: shown only for Fixed Date. It is required and must be after the start date.
Number of Days: shown only for the day-based rules. Enter at least 1 day.
How do I set the schedule step by step?
Open the training program editor: Add Training Program, or Edit on a draft program.
Go to Scheduling.
Set the Training Start Date.
Choose a Due Date Rule.
Complete either Due Date or Number of Days, depending on the rule you selected.
Click Save Draft.
What validation should I expect?
With Fixed Date, the due date is required and must come after the start date. With a day-based rule, Number of Days must be at least 1. If a required field is missing, complete it before saving.
Can a training program repeat automatically?
Not from the editor. It has no recurrence option, so the programs you create there are one-time assignments and the Recurrence column of the Training Programs list shows One-time for them. To run the same training again, use Duplicate on the program and publish the copy with new dates.
