How to use Training Validation & Evaluation in Learn Content
Use the Training Validation & Evaluation tab to add participants, record scores and training time, and mark one or several participants as completed.
How do I turn on Training Validation & Evaluation?
Go to Learn > Learn Content and open the content item.
Click Edit.
In the General section, turn on Enable Employees Training Validation & Evaluation. If you do not see this toggle, it is not available on your platform.
Optionally, turn on Enable user self-registration for this Training so employees can enrol themselves with a shareable URL or QR code.
Click Save.
The Training Validation & Evaluation tab then appears on the content details page. For external content, this setting is turned on automatically, because the completion of external content is validated by a manager.
How do I record a participant's score?
Open the Training Validation & Evaluation tab.
Click Add Participant. The Add New Score window opens.
Select the person in Participants.
Enter the Score.
Fill in the other fields as needed: Total Training Time, Started At, Completed At, Mark as Completed and Notes. The completion date cannot be earlier than the start date.
Click Add Score.
How do I review or change a participant's record?
The tab lists every participant with their start and completion dates, time and completion status. Use the row actions:
View Details: open the Score Details window, change the values and click Update Score.
Delete: remove the participant's record.
If a participant has left comments, you can open them from their row.
How do I mark several participants as completed?
If the participants list shows selection checkboxes, you can record completion for several existing participant records in one action.
Open the Training Validation & Evaluation tab.
If you want to limit the list, enter at least three characters in Search... and wait for the results.
Tick the rows you want to complete. The checkbox in the table header selects the current page.
If the selection spans more pages, use Select all N participants when it appears, where N is the number shown. It selects every result of the current search across pages. You can select up to 1,000 participant records at once; narrow the search or use smaller batches for larger lists.
Click Mark as Completed to open the completion window and review the participant count.
Set Completed At to the completion date you want to record. You can also fill in Total Training Time, in minutes, and Notes. Values you enter apply to every record that is newly completed in this batch. Leave training time or notes empty to keep each record's existing value.
Click Mark as Completed in the window to apply the action.
Read the result. It reports how many records were marked as completed and how many were already completed. If some records could not be updated, review the failure message and the affected rows before trying again.
Records that are already completed are left untouched, including their completion date, training time and notes. Changing the search or moving to another page clears the selection; select the required rows again.
This action records the training validation as complete. A Learn Content with other tracked blocks is only fully complete when those blocks are complete too. See How is Learn Content Completion Calculated?.
To change an individual score or another detail, use View Details and Update Score. If the list does not show selection checkboxes, use this individual flow.
Does self-registration mark the training as completed?
Self-registration adds the participant's enrolment. Completion is recorded separately in Training Validation & Evaluation. See Self-registration links and sharing for Learn Content.
Where do I configure evaluation stages?
Evaluation stages (such as an initial assessment, a knowledge test, a validation or a satisfaction survey, with their deadlines and evaluators) are not configured in Learn Content. They are configured in the Evaluation section of a Training Program or a Curriculum. See Training Programs and Curricula.
