Creating Learn Content with AI
Use the Learning Designer Agent to generate a new Learn Content item from a text prompt, a PDF, or both, then review it and generate its translations before publishing.
How do I create Learn Content with AI?
Go to Learn > Learn Content and click Add Content.
In the Create Learn Content window, select Generate Content with AI. The Learning Designer Agent opens.
Describe the topic, the target audience and the learning objective in the message box, and click Send.
Optionally, click Upload PDF to use a document as the source. PDFs can only be attached at the start of the conversation, and the file must be 50 MB or smaller. To use only the document, click Start with this PDF.
Answer the agent's questions in the chat. The agent then shows a summary of the course and asks Can I generate the course based on this?. Answer yes to start generating.
When you see "Your course is ready for review.", click Open course.
Generation takes a few minutes. You can click Continue in background and keep working, and check its progress by reopening the Learning Designer Agent.
What can I provide to guide the AI?
You can use a text prompt, a PDF, or both. The agent combines the information to generate richer content. For best results, be specific about the topic, the audience and what learners should be able to do afterwards.
What happens after the content is created?
The course is created as a new Learn Content item. It is not published automatically, so learners do not see it until you publish it. Review every block before publishing: the agent can make mistakes. If some blocks could not be generated, a message lists them so you can add them manually.
If your platform has more than one language, AI-generated content is created in the base language only and the content details page shows the AI translations pending notice, with two options:
Generate Translations: generate the remaining languages with AI. This can only be done once. Content editing is paused while the translations are generated.
I don't want to use AI generation. I'll add my own translations.: fill the remaining languages with the base language content so you can edit them yourself. This cannot be undone.
Publishing is disabled until one of these options is completed. You can still send the content for review in the base language.
Is there a usage limit?
If your platform has a quota for the Learning Designer Agent, the agent window shows how much of it you have used, for text requests and for file uploads.
