How to create learn content with AI

Learning Designer Agent: AI-Powered Course Generator

Designs and generates complete courses from PDFs or a simple briefing. The Learning Designer Agent (also known as Gi Learn) is part of Gi's team of four AI Agents working 24/7. It turns documents, manuals or ideas into structured courses ready to publish in minutes.

What it does

The Learning Designer Agent transforms documents, manuals or ideas into structured courses with objectives, content, quizzes and resources. It adapts content to the audience's level and delivers material ready to publish in minutes.

Key capabilities

  • Imports PDFs, manuals or a briefing: works from your own source material or from a free-text prompt

  • Generates objectives, modules, quizzes and resources: a full course structure, not just slides

  • Adapts the level to the audience: same topic, different depth for different cohorts

  • Ready to publish in minutes: the heavy lift of authoring is done for you

Use cases

Onboarding, compliance training, upskilling, product training. Whenever you need to turn an internal source into a structured course at scale.

A concrete example

Drop Onboarding_Manual.pdf into the Learning Designer Agent and within minutes you get an Onboarding 2026 course with modules such as:

  • Welcome to the company (8 min)

  • Policies and values (Quiz)

  • Day-to-day tools (12 min)

Generation time is typically under two minutes per course.

How to start creating a course

Open the Learn Content page under the Learn tab in the backoffice, click Add Content, then choose Generate Content with AI.

A pop-up window opens. Write a short prompt describing the course you want and press Generate Content. Generation usually takes a minute or two.

When the job finishes, a new course is available on the chosen subject, ready to be reviewed.

What is generated

After the content is created, it is available in the front-end under the Learn module. The generated course includes a title and a brief description of the subject.

A slide presentation is also generated under the Unlock insight in our slides option.

Slides cover the essential information for the course. Around 30 slides are produced by default; the actual number adapts to the topic and can be adjusted.

Personalised slides are inserted at regular intervals with interesting facts about the subject.

The final slide outlines how the subject is evolving and what to expect in the near future.

The agent also selects a relevant video, summarises it as an Action Plan, and extracts Key Ideas, so learners can absorb the topic in different formats.

A quiz is generated from the course content for learners to validate what they retained. Quiz questions can be edited before publishing.

When learners complete a course, results are reflected in the platform ranking.

Can I edit the generated content?

Yes. Every part of the generated course (title, description, slides, video selection, quiz) can be reviewed and edited before publishing. Use this step to adjust tone, add company-specific examples, and align the content with your team's goals.

Tips for better courses

  • Give a focused briefing. A specific prompt ("a 30-minute course on giving constructive feedback for first-time team leaders") produces tighter content than a broad topic.

  • Use your own documents for strict scope. Uploading a PDF tells the agent to draw exclusively from that source, ideal for compliance or policy content.

  • Review the quiz. Correcting one or two questions usually improves the whole assessment.

  • Iterate. Re-running with a slightly different prompt often produces a stronger draft than editing a weak one extensively.

Privacy and data handling

The Learning Designer Agent uses an external AI provider (OpenAI API, under a contractual no-training clause) to draft content. Prompts and uploaded files are processed for the purpose of generating the course; they are not used to train the provider's models. All generated content stays inside your GFoundry environment and follows the same retention rules as other Learn content. Your organisation's data stays in your organisation.
