Teams: create and manage team details, members, and whitelist rules
Create a team, add members, and manage its whitelist rules from the Teams area. You can also edit team details, remove members, and delete whitelist rules from the team details page.
How do I create a team?
Go to Community Management > Teams.
Select New Team.
Fill in Team Name. If your platform has more than one language, you can enter the name in each language.
Upload a team image if needed.
If Team Department is shown, select the department the team belongs to.
Select the Team Manager.
Select Create.
How do I edit a team?
Go to Community Management > Teams.
Find the team you want to change.
Open the actions menu on its row and choose Quick Edit, or open the team and select Edit in the page header.
Update the team fields you need.
Select Update.
To delete a team, choose Delete in the same actions menu or in the team page header.
How do I add members to a team?
Go to Community Management > Teams.
Open the team you want to update. Select its name or the Team Details icon on its row.
In the Team Members tab, select Add Team Members.
Choose one or more users in Team Members.
Select Add.
You can add multiple members at once. A user can only be in one team at a time. To remove a member, open the actions menu on their row and select Remove.
How do I manage whitelist rules?
A team whitelist rule is an email address or a pattern such as *@domain.com. When a new user is created with an email that matches a rule, they are added to this team automatically. If your platform restricts sign-up with a whitelist, a matching email is also allowed to sign up.
Go to Community Management > Teams and open the team.
Go to the Preferences tab. The rules are listed under Whitelist Rules.
Select Add Rule to create a new rule.
Enter the rule in Rule.
Select Create, or Update when you are editing an existing rule.
To remove a rule, open the actions menu on its row and select Delete, or open the rule and select Delete.
Which article should I open next?
To organise teams into departments, see Departments: create, edit, delete, and assign managers.
For the platform-wide whitelist and company codes, see Company Codes & Whitelists.
