How competitions work

Competitions rank you and your colleagues on an indicator your company chooses. Several can run at the same time, and each one is only shown to the people it is meant for. Competitions shows the ones running and your position; Me shows your history and wins.

What is a competition?

A competition is a contest your company sets up for a period of time. It ranks the participants, or their teams, by a measure. The measure can be any indicator (KPI) your company wants to track, for example the number of calls, sales, visits or customer satisfaction. The description of each competition usually explains the rules and the prize.

Can I be in more than one competition at a time?

Yes. Your company can run several competitions at the same time, each with its own indicator, dates and ranking. Each one has its own card.

Why does my colleague see different competitions from me?

Each competition can be meant only for some groups or teams. You only see the competitions set up for your groups or your team. So you can be in a competition that your colleague does not even see, and the other way round.

Where do I see my competitions?

In the side menu, under Participation & Collaboration, open Competitions. The Competitions tab shows My competitions: the competitions running now. Each card shows the dates, the status, the days left, the description, your Position on ranking and the top of the ranking. Click See more to open Competition details.

Why can't I see a competition that has ended?

The Competitions tab only shows competitions that are running. Open Me to see My competitions historic, with all your competitions and your position in each. Me also shows Competitions won and Competitions done.

What do the status tags mean?

  • Competition running: it is happening now. The card also shows how many days are left.

  • Competition to be started: it has not started yet. Its ranking shows Competition yet to be started.

  • Competition ended: it is over. If you came first, you see You have won! In a team competition, the first team shows Winner team.

What do the rankings mean?

In Competition details you see the rankings that apply to that competition:

  • My ranking on team: your position among your team colleagues.

  • Teams ranking: the position of each team.

  • Global ranking: your position among all participants.

If the competition has none of the team rankings, you see My ranking instead. Some competitions also have a ranking per group. If nobody has scored yet, you see No players yet.

Is the number next to each name a number of points?

No. It is the value of the indicator the competition measures, for example the number of calls. Points are shown in the Achievements tab.

I was disqualified. Why?

A disqualified person has no position in the ranking. The row shows Disqualification motive with the reason your manager wrote.

How do I see a colleague's competitions?

Open Others and search for your colleague by name (type at least three characters). Before you search, the list shows the people in your team. Click a person to see their competitions and their positions.

Where are the points and badges of this module?

The Achievements tab shows the points ranking for Competitions, by month or in total, and the badges you won and can still win.

Will I know when a competition starts?

Yes. You get a notification when a competition starts. Click it to open the competition. In the mobile app you can also get push notifications when a competition starts, ends or has a new leader.

How do I share a competition?

On the web, open Competition details and click the link button. You see Competition link successfully copied!

If you manage a team

On the rows of the people you manage, a three-dot menu shows Disqualify or Requalify:

  • Disqualify asks you for a reason in Please, give a disqualification motive. The person sees that reason in the ranking.

  • Requalify is applied at once, without a confirmation step.

Only the person's direct manager can disqualify or requalify them.

In the mobile app

Tap Menu at the bottom of the screen and then Competitions (swipe left if you do not see it). Inside it, the sections of the module are in the bar at the bottom. The pages and the steps are the same as on the web.

If you do not see this

  • Your company may not use Competitions, or the module is not available to your group.

  • Your company may use a different name for this area or place it elsewhere in the menu.

  • A competition you expected is missing: it may be set up for other groups or teams, or it may have ended. Check Me.
