How to comment on an idea
Open an idea and click Add comment in the Comments block. You can reply, mention colleagues with @, like the idea, and edit or delete your own comments.
Before you start
Your company uses Ideas, and you can see the idea. Private ideas are not visible to co-workers.
You can only comment on ideas in a challenge that is not archived. An archived challenge shows Archived category.
Steps
In the side menu, under Participation & Collaboration, open Ideas.
Click the idea to open it. To find it, use Search idea... or click See all in its challenge.
Scroll to Comments. If nobody has commented yet, you see No comments yet. Be the first to add yours!
Click Add comment and write in Insert your comment... (up to 1,000 characters). To mention a colleague, type @ followed by their name. They get a notification.
Confirm to publish. The comment is published at once and the idea's authors are notified.
Reply to a comment
Click Reply under the comment, write your answer and confirm. Replies go one level deep.
Edit or delete your comment
Open the options of your comment and click Edit. Change the text in Edit comment and click Update. The comment then shows Edited.
To remove it, click Delete and confirm Are you sure that you want to delete this comment?
Report a comment
If a colleague's comment is inappropriate, open its options and click Report. Confirm Are you sure that you want to report this comment? The comment then shows Reported.
Like an idea
Click the like icon on the idea. Click it again to remove your like. There is no confirmation, and the authors are notified. If you do not see the like icon, likes are turned off for that idea.
If you do not see this
You see no Add comment button: the challenge is archived.
Your company may not use Ideas, or the module is not available to your group.
Your company may use a different name for this area or place it elsewhere in the menu.
