How to add technical skills to your profile
In Recognition > Me, press Add skills under I know to add the technical skills that describe you. Colleagues can then recognize you in them.
Before you start
Your company uses Recognition with technical skills. You can tell because Recognition > Me has a section called I know.
You only add technical skills (hard skills). Behavioural skills (soft skills), under I excel in, are a fixed list set by your company. You cannot add or remove them.
Steps
In the side menu, open Recognition & Rewards > Recognition > Me.
In the I know section, press Add skills.
The Add skills window opens: Select or search for the skills that define you. Type in Search... or pick from the suggestions. Each skill you pick joins your selection, and you can take it out again before you add it.
Press Add skills. The skills are added at once, without a confirmation, and the My hard skills list opens.
If the skill you want is not in the list
Search for it. If nothing matches, you see Can't find the skill you are looking for, create a new one!.
Press Create skill. An editor opens with the words you searched for.
Check the name and confirm. The new skill is created and added to your profile at once.
How to remove a technical skill
In Recognition > Me, find the skill under I know. Press See all if it is not among the first ones.
Open the three-dot menu on the skill's line and choose Remove.
To the question Remove this skill from your profile?, answer Yes.
In the mobile app
Tap Menu at the bottom of the screen and then Recognition (swipe left if you do not see it). Inside it, the sections of the module are in the bar at the bottom. The pages and the steps are the same as on the web.
If you do not see this
You do not see Recognition in the menu: your company may not use it. Your company may use a different name for this area or place it elsewhere in the menu.
You see Me but no I know section: your company has not switched on technical skills. Your company may also use a different name for this section.
If your menu shows a list of modules instead of groups, open Recognition from that list. The same tabs appear at the top of the page.
