Can users change their own email or password, and who can change them for them?
Users can change their password and photo, but not their email. Administrators and Community Managers can change these details for other users in the Backoffice.
What can a user change?
Password: yes, on the web platform, or with Forgot your password? on the sign-in page. The mobile app does not have an option to change the password; sign out and use the web platform or the forgotten password link.
Profile photo: yes.
Email and other profile data: no. This prevents users from changing the details that identify them and their permissions.
Who can change them in the Backoffice?
Admins: can change any user's email and password.
Community Managers: can change the email and password of users who are not administrators. They cannot change an administrator's password.
If your users come from an HR integration, change the email in the source system as well; otherwise the next synchronisation can bring back the old value.
A user signs in with company sign-in (SSO)
With company sign-in, the password is managed by your company, not by GFoundry. The user must change it through your company's usual process.
