Why doesn't a user have an evaluation or Touchpoint?
Having an active account does not put a user in an evaluation cycle. Who gets an evaluation depends on the cycle's groups, and each Touchpoint period has its own.
Which version is this? This article is for the current version of the evaluation pages. You are using it if a cycle's page shows the User's Evaluations cards and the tabs Current Evaluation, Future Preparation and Potential Assessment. If the cycle's page shows a Performance & Potential Dashboard and a Cycle Users table, see Why is a user not eligible for a Touchpoint or evaluation? (previous version).
Start here
Open the cycle and look at the Not in evaluation card: it counts the users excluded from or not eligible for the evaluation. Click it to see who they are.
Click See all users, find the user, and read the status.
Check that the user belongs to one of the groups selected in Groups Segmentation, in the cycle's settings (Edit on the cycle page).
For a Touchpoint, check the Touchpoint period separately: it has its own groups.
What the status tells you
No evaluation: the user is in the cycle but no evaluation was created for them.
Not eligible: the user was marked as not eligible for this cycle.
Not eligible [absence] or No evaluation [absence]: the user is excluded because of an absence recorded for this cycle.
Disabled: the evaluation is disabled for this user.
Not evaluated: the evaluation was not submitted before the cycle was closed.
Why can a user have a Touchpoint but no evaluation, or the other way round?
The evaluation cycle and each Touchpoint period select their users through their own groups. A user can be in one and not in the other. Check each one separately.
What are eligibility items?
If the cycle has Has eligibility items? turned on, each career can have Eligibility Items (set up in Career Settings). HR answers yes or no to each item for each user, and you can filter the cycle's users by Eligibility Items status. The answers record the HR decision: they do not create or remove an evaluation by themselves.
Rules agreed with GFoundry
Some organisations have additional rules, for example about absences or recent hires, set up together with GFoundry. If the user is in the right groups and still has no evaluation, ask Support which rule applies to your organisation instead of changing the user's data.
When should I contact Support?
Contact Support when the user is active, belongs to one of the cycle's groups, and still has no evaluation. Include the user identifier, the cycle, the status shown, and the groups you checked.
