How to use eligibility items in evaluation cycles
Use eligibility items to filter who can be evaluated in a cycle. They are created in Modules > Evaluation & Careers > Career settings and then applied from the cycle settings before you create evaluations.
What are eligibility items?
Eligibility items are values you create under Modules > Evaluation & Careers > Career settings so you can group or filter users for evaluation cycles. They are separate from careers, categories, and skillsets.
Once they are set up, you can use them in a cycle and later filter cycle users by Eligibility Items in the cycle user list.
Where do I create eligibility items?
Create them in Modules > Evaluation & Careers > Career settings, under the Eligibility Items section. From there, add each item you want to use later in your cycles.
If the section is empty, start by adding your first eligibility item. You can edit or delete items later from the same area.
How do I enable eligibility items for an evaluation cycle?
Open the cycle in Modules > Evaluation & Careers > Evaluation Cycles, then edit the cycle and turn on Has eligibility items?. Save the cycle after making the change.
After that, eligibility items are available for that cycle. You can then use them when creating or reviewing evaluations for users in that cycle.
How do eligibility items affect cycle users?
In Cycle Users, you can filter users by Eligibility Items. This helps you quickly find the users that match a specific eligibility setup in the current cycle.
The filter is useful when you need to review who is included, or when you want to focus on a smaller group of users before taking action on their evaluations.
Do changes to eligibility items apply right away?
Yes. When you save a new eligibility item or update an existing one, the change is available immediately in Career settings. If the item is being used in a cycle, the updated list is available the next time you open or refresh that cycle.
If you delete an eligibility item, confirm the deletion carefully. Any cycle that relies on that item will no longer be able to use it.
Can eligibility items be used with other cycle settings?
Yes. They are part of the same evaluation setup as careers, categories, touchpoints, goals, and IDPs. You can use them alongside cycle access rules and user management to narrow down who should be included in an evaluation cycle.
They do not replace career or category assignments. Use them as an extra filter when you need more precise eligibility rules.
