Goals and Individual Development Plans in Evaluation Cycles
Add goals and Individual Development Plans to a cycle from the cycle details area, or from a year cycle period when you need to manage them by period. You can create new items or update existing ones from the same screens.
Where do I add goals and IDPs?
Go to Modules > Evaluation & Careers > Evaluation Cycles and select the cycle you want to manage. On the cycle details page, use Add Cycle Goals or Add Cycle IDPs to work with items assigned to that cycle.
If you need to manage items by period instead, go to Year Cycle Period and use Add Period Goals or Add Period IDPs.
How do I create a new goal or IDP?
Open the cycle or period where the item belongs.
Select Add Cycle Goals, Add Cycle IDPs, Add Period Goals, or Add Period IDPs.
Fill in the form fields for the item. For goals, choose the Goal Type, select the user or team, and complete the date and visibility fields that apply. For IDPs, select the user, choose the IDP Type, and set the dates and status.
Choose Create.
How do I update an existing goal or IDP?
Open the cycle, period, or user view where the item is listed.
Find the goal or IDP in the table.
Select the edit action for that row.
Change the fields you need and choose Update.
What should I check before I save?
For goals and IDPs, the available dates are tied to the cycle or period you are working in. If a date is outside the current range, review whether the item belongs to a previous or future cycle or period before you save it.
If you are editing a goal or IDP that is already linked to users, update it carefully. Changes are saved back to the selected cycle or period.
Can I import goals or IDPs instead of creating them one by one?
Yes. The module includes an import option for both goals and IDPs. Use it when you need to add several items at once, then review the import result before you continue.
