Task List Segmentation and Audience Targeting

Use Content Segmentation to decide which users can see a task list. You can target groups, teams, or both when you create or edit the list.

How do I target a task list to specific users?

  1. Go to Modules > Tasks > Task Lists.

  2. Click Add Task List to create a new list, or open the actions menu of an existing list and select Edit.

  3. Fill in the Task List title and, if needed, a Description.

  4. Go to the Content Segmentation section.

  5. In Groups Segmentation, add the groups that should see the list. Click Advanced Options if you need to combine several conditions, choosing All or At least one of the conditions and using Add Condition for more rows.

  6. If you see Segmentation by Teams (it appears when Teams is enabled on your platform), add the teams that should see the list.

  7. Turn Enabled on if you want the list to be visible to users.

  8. Click Create for a new list, or Update for an existing one.

GFoundry backoffice: the Create a new Task List window with Content Segmentation and the Enabled switch

Segmentation is set on the task list. All tasks in a list are shown to the same audience; tasks do not have their own segmentation.

What should I do if I want the list to stay hidden?

Turn Enabled off. Users do not see a disabled list, and it shows as Disabled on the Task Lists page.

How do I change the audience later?

  1. Go to Modules > Tasks > Task Lists.

  2. Open the actions menu of the list and select Edit.

  3. Update Groups Segmentation or Segmentation by Teams in the Content Segmentation section.

  4. Click Update.

You can check the current audience on the Task Lists page, in the Groups and Teams columns, or in the Task List Details panel when you open the list.
