Task and Task List Fields Reference

Reference for the two windows of the Tasks Module: the task window, where you write a task, and the task list window, where you name a list and choose its audience.

Which windows are there?

  • Create a new Task or Task Details: opens when you click New Task inside a task list, or when you edit a task.

  • Create a new Task List or Task List Details: opens when you click Add Task List, or when you edit a task list.

If your platform has more than one language, both windows show a tab for each language so you can write the title and description in each one.

What fields are available when I create or edit a task?

  • Task title: Required in the default language. Between 3 and 255 characters. This is the name users see in their task list.

  • Description: Optional. A rich text field, so you can format text and add links to explain what the user needs to do.

When you edit an existing list, a Delete button appears at the bottom left of the window.

What should I know before saving or leaving the window?

Click Create (new item) or Update (existing item) to save. Reset restores the values the window had when you opened it. Cancel closes the window.

If you close the window with unsaved changes, you are asked Are you sure you want to cancel? Choose Discard changes to leave or Continue editing to go back.
