Feedback Answers Scoring and Calculation
See how scores are shown for feedback answers and how the average score is calculated. This article explains the labels you can use to review scored and non-scored answers.
How are feedback answers scored?
In Feedback Answers, each answer can show an Answer Score when the question type supports scoring. Answers that do not have a score are marked as Not graded.
The score summary also shows the Average Score for the answer set, so you can quickly review overall results.
How is the average score calculated?
The calculation uses only the answers that have a score. The breakdown shows the Calculation: and the Formula: used for the average.
The formula is the sum of all scores divided by the number of scored answers. Unscored answers are not included in the average.
Average Score: Shows the final average for the selected answer set.
Calculation:: Shows the numeric operation used to reach the average.
Formula:: Explains the rule used to calculate the score.
Individual Scores:: Lists the scored answers included in the average.
out of {{count}} answers have scores: Shows how many answers were scored out of the full set.
What does Not graded mean?
Not graded means the answer has no score attached to it. This can happen when the question does not produce a score, or when the answer was not evaluated for scoring.
In the breakdown, these answers are excluded from the average calculation.
Where can I review the answers?
Go to Modules > Feedback > Dashboard, then select the Answers action for a feedback item. Use the Answers and Questions tabs to review the full set of responses and the score details.
