Reports: Analyzing Engagement and Completion

Learn where to find learning reports in GFoundry and how to interpret key metrics. Track engagement and completion at dashboard and item level, drill into user progress and quiz insights, and use trends to improve your learning strategy.

Creating great content is only half the story. To run effective learning and training initiatives, you need to understand how people interact with them. GFoundry provides reporting tools to track engagement, measure knowledge acquisition, and monitor progress across your learning ecosystem.

Where to find reports

Analytics are available at different levels, so you can get both a high-level view and detailed performance data.

Dashboard (high level)

Go to Learning & Missions → Dashboard for an overview of learning activity. This typically includes key metrics, trends, and recent activity.

Content-level reports (granular)

To analyse a single Content item, open it in Content → Content Library and use the Reports option on the item page. This is where you’ll find detailed analytics for that specific Content item.

Quiz stats (deep dive)

For quiz performance, open the quiz within the relevant Content item and use the Quiz Stats area for detailed results and question-level insights.

Understanding completion rates

A completion rate is one of the most important metrics you can track. It represents progress through the trackable components included in the item you are analysing.

Content completion

For Content items, completion is calculated from trackable blocks such as slides, videos, PDFs, and quizzes (with specific rules for quiz modes).

Tip: A low completion rate for a Content item often indicates that the content is too long, not engaging enough, or that a specific component (for example, a difficult quiz) is acting as a blocker.

Key data points to analyse

When you open reports, you can typically find insights such as:

  • Overall progress: how many users have started, are in progress, or have completed the item

  • Individual user performance: progress, completion date, time spent, and quiz results (where applicable)

  • Content effectiveness: question-level quiz data to identify where learners struggle

  • Activity over time: trends by day/week/month using date filters

By reviewing reports regularly, you move from simply publishing content to actively optimising your learning strategy, improving both engagement and outcomes.
