Creating great content is only half the story. To run a successful training program, you need to understand how your employees are interacting with it. The GFoundry Learn module provides powerful reporting tools to track engagement, measure knowledge acquisition, and demonstrate the overall impact of your initiatives.
Where to Find Your Reports
Analytics are available at different levels, allowing you to get both a high-level overview and a granular look at performance.
The Dashboard: For a quick overview of your entire learning program, the Learn > Dashboard is your starting point. It typically shows key metrics, recent trends, and at-a-glance activity.
Course-Specific Reports: To see detailed analytics for a single course, navigate to that "Learn Content" item and click the
Reports
button in the top action bar. This is where you'll find the most comprehensive data for that specific course.Quiz-Specific Stats: For a deep dive into quiz performance, open the quiz block within a course and navigate to the
Quiz Stats
tab.
Understanding Completion Rates
A user's completion rate for a course is one of the most important metrics you can track. It represents their progress through the specific, trackable components you have included in that course.
How is this calculated? Before analyzing the data, it's essential to remember how this percentage is calculated. The rate is an average based on four types of content: Slides, Videos, PDFs, and Quizzes (excluding Battle Mode).
For a full explanation of the rules, please read our guide: "How is a Course Completion Rate Calculated?"
Interpreting the data from this perspective is key. For example, a low completion rate on a specific course might indicate that the content is too long, is not engaging enough, or that a specific component (like a difficult quiz) is acting as a blocker for users.
Key Data Points to Analyze
When you dive into the reports, you can typically find valuable insights on:
Overall Progress: Track how many users have started, are currently in progress, or have successfully completed a course.
Individual User Performance: Drill down to see the progress, score, completion date, and time spent for each individual user.
Content Effectiveness: Analyze question-level data from quizzes to identify which questions are the most difficult for your audience. This can help you spot areas where the training material may need to be improved.
Activity Over Time: Use date filters to view performance and engagement trends on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
By regularly analyzing these reports, you can move from simply delivering content to actively managing and optimizing your learning strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of both your employees and your organization.
