The learner experience: practicing a Role Play
Once a role play is published, learners practise it inside the Learn Content item: they hold a conversation with the AI persona and receive an evaluation at the end.
Starting a session
The learner opens the Learn Content item that contains the published role play.
In the role play section, they read the scenario briefing and click Start role-play.
The conversation opens in the Gi chat.
Holding the conversation
The learner replies in their own words to the AI persona, turn by turn.
The scenario moves through stages, and the chat shows how many stages are left.
Getting evaluated
When the session ends, the learner sees a session summary with:
Whether they passed, with the score as a percentage.
Feedback on what went well and what to improve.
The session duration and the number of turns.
From the summary, the learner can review the conversation.
Can learners try again?
Yes, until they pass. If the evaluation is not passed, Start role-play stays available and the learner can run a new session after reading the feedback. Once a session is passed, the role play section shows the score and Passed instead of the start button, and the learner can open the evaluation summary but cannot play again.
What happens behind the scenes
Each evaluated session records evidence for the skills the role play exercises. See How role-play sessions feed the skills engine. Admins can follow every attempt in Reviewing Role Play sessions, evaluations and feedback.
