Marketplace Module Field and Validation Reference
Use this reference to check the fields available when you create or edit marketplace items, categories and transactions, and the validation rules for each one.
Which fields are available when you create or edit a Marketplace item?
Use these fields when you set up an item in Modules > Marketplace > Marketplace Items.
Image: required. JPEG or PNG, within your platform's upload size limit.
Item name: required, between 3 and 107 characters.
Description: optional.
User Instructions on Exchange: optional. Text that guides the user after they exchange the item (for example, pickup information or next steps).
SKU: required, between 2 and 107 characters.
Stock: required, a whole number of 0 or more, unless you tick Is stock unlimited?. When stock is unlimited the field is hidden.
Price: required, 0 or more, in virtual coins.
Is Item shippable to customer address? (under Delivery Methods): when ticked, the user must enter the address the item should be sent to when they exchange it.
Marketplace Categories: the categories where the item appears. Optional in the form, but an item without a category is not visible to users.
Groups Segmentation: shown when available for your company. Limits the item to specific groups.
Image, name and description are defined per language when your company uses more than one language. The name and image are required in the default language.
Which fields are available when you create or edit a Marketplace category?
Use these fields when you set up a category in Modules > Marketplace > Marketplace Categories.
Category name: required, between 3 and 107 characters.
Description: optional.
Category names are managed per language when your company uses more than one language.
Which fields are available in a Marketplace transaction?
Click a transaction in Modules > Marketplace > Dashboard (or in an item's Item Transactions List) to open Transaction Details.
ID: read-only transaction identifier.
Item: read-only. The item that was exchanged.
User: read-only. The user who made the exchange.
Price: read-only. The value of the transaction.
Description: editable.
Status: editable. Pending, In Progress or Completed.
When you select several transactions and click Edit, the bulk edit window changes only the Status of all selected transactions.
