How Learn Content-managed forms work

Learn content managed forms are forms created from the Learn module and linked to learning content. Some settings can be viewed in Forms & Surveys, but the Learn module controls the form and it cannot be deleted there.

What is a Learn content managed form?

A Learn content managed form is a form that is linked to a Learn content item. In Forms & Surveys, you can open its details and view the linked Learn content, but some settings are controlled by the Learn module.

You can use these forms as evaluation forms in Learn when that option is enabled.

Can I edit a Learn content managed form?

You can review the form details and manage the form fields that are available in Forms & Surveys. However, some general settings are controlled by Learn and cannot be changed here.

If the linked Learn content is no longer available, the form shows that the associated Learn content is unavailable.

How do I create a form that Learn can use?

  1. Go to Modules > Forms & Surveys > Forms List.

  2. Select New Form.

  3. Enter the form name.

  4. Enable Is Learn Evaluation Form? if you want to use the form as an evaluation form in Learn.

  5. Save the form.

What can I manage in the form details?

Open the form from View Details to review the linked Learn content, the form settings, and the form fields. From there you can add, edit, reorder, or delete form fields, and you can also manage close reasons when they are available.

If the form is anonymous, the form details show that the responses are anonymous.

Can I delete a Learn content managed form?

Not from Forms & Surveys. The form is managed by Learn, so the delete action is not available there. If you need to remove it, do that from the Learn content that owns the form.
