How to Manage Menu Shortcuts in Menu Configuration
Add, edit, delete, reorder and activate menu shortcuts from Menu Configuration. You can also switch between showing all items in one list or page by page.
How do I add a new menu shortcut?
Go to Settings > Menu Configuration.
In Menu Shortcuts, select Add Item.
In Create Menu Item, fill in the Label and, if needed, the Tooltip.
Choose a Link Type: Open Category, Open Content Item, Open External Link, Open Module or Open Area.
Complete the field that matches the link type: Content Category, Content Item, URL, Module or Area.
Leave the Active toggle on if you want the shortcut to show in the menu. When it is off, you see the message "This menu item is inactive and will be hidden from the menu."
Select Create.
How do I edit or delete a menu shortcut?
Go to Settings > Menu Configuration.
Select the shortcut label, or its Edit icon, in the list.
Update the details in Menu Item Details and select Update.
To remove the shortcut, select Delete (in the form or with the Delete icon in the list) and confirm. A deleted shortcut cannot be recovered.
How do I reorder menu shortcuts?
Go to Settings > Menu Configuration.
Drag a shortcut by its handle, up or down in the list.
Wait for the change to save. If it fails, you see the message Failed to reorder menu items :(.
The list shows each shortcut's status as Active or Inactive.
How do I change how the menu shortcut list is displayed?
Go to Settings > Menu Configuration.
Select Show All to display every item in a single list.
Select Show Pages to go back to page-by-page browsing.
What can I do if there are no menu shortcuts yet?
If the list is empty, you see No Menu Items Found. Select Add Item to create your first menu shortcut.
