What is the Content Library?

The Content Library is where you create and manage Content items-the containers that hold your learning or informational materials. A Content item can represent a course-like experience, a micro-learning page, or an internal information page.

Create a new Content item

  1. Go to Content → Content Library

  2. Click Add Content and choose Add Content Manually

  3. Fill in the initial details to create the content container

  4. You will be redirected to the content details page to continue configuration

Edit core details (name, description, thumbnail, category)

On the content details page, use Edit in the core details panel to update:

  • Thumbnail (cover image)

  • Name (title users see)

  • Description (summary and learning objectives)

  • Category (for organisation and discoverability)

Control visibility and status (Published, Unpublished, Unlisted)

Use the action bar to control whether learners can access the content:

  • Publish / Unpublish: Publish makes it visible to the target audience; unpublish removes access

  • Unlist: Keeps it active but hidden from catalog/search; accessible only via direct link

  • Preview & Share: Preview as a learner and get a shareable link

  • Reports: Open analytics and progress for this specific item

Build the learning experience with Content Blocks

After creating the container, build the actual experience by adding content blocks in the Content Management area.

Intro Content Block (landing page)

Use this as the first thing learners see: summary, objectives, welcome message.

How to add:

  1. Find Intro Content Block

  2. Click Add Content

  3. Write and format with the rich text editor (images, links, lists, etc.)

  4. Click Create

Presentation Content (Slides)

Great for slide-based lessons, lectures, or reports.

You can create presentations in three ways:

  • Create slides manually (built-in editor)

  • Generate slides from images (upload multiple images)

PDF Content (downloadable documents)

Use this for manuals, study guides, case studies, and reference docs.

How to add: choose Upload a PDF and select the file.

Video Content

Use for tutorials, demos, interviews, and visual explanations.

You can add video by link (e.g., YouTube) or by uploading your own file, then add a title/description and save.

Quizzes (assessment and reinforcement)

Quizzes can be added as a block to assess understanding and reinforce learning.

For building questions, you can:

  • Add questions manually (supports rich media like images, sound, GIFs)

  • Bulk import questions using the official Excel template (must be saved as .XLS, not .XLSX)

Embed external content (HTML block)

If you want to include external interactive resources (videos, presentations, tools), use an HTML block and paste the platform’s embed code (usually an iframe).

Steps:

  1. Get the embed code from the external platform (Share/Embed)

  2. Add an HTML block in your content and paste the code

  3. Save and preview to confirm it displays correctly

VR & AR experiences (when enabled)

You can integrate immersive VR/AR simulations as part of a learning experience. These can be added as:

  • A content block inside a content item, or

  • A goal inside a Mission

GFoundry can track completion and results from immersive experiences and integrate them into reporting and gamification (points/badges/certificates, depending on configuration).

Gi Learn (AI-Powered Course Generator, when enabled)

If your tenant has Gi Learn enabled, you can generate structured, branded courses (modules, lessons, quizzes) from a brief.

Use it when you need a fast starting point, then review and adjust the content before publishing.

Recommended workflow (simple and safe)

  • Create the content container and add core details

  • Build the content blocks (intro, slides/PDF/video, quizzes/forms, embeds)

  • Save as Draft, preview, then publish

  • Use Unlist for testing without cluttering the catalog

  • Use reports to track engagement and completion
