Why can't a user submit Future Preparation or their development plan?
Future Preparation can only be submitted when no goal is waiting for approval and the number of goals and development plans of each type is within the configured minimum and maximum.
Start here
Open the user's evaluation in the Backoffice and go to Future Preparation.
Check the goals: is any goal still waiting for the manager's approval?
Check the count of each type of goal and development plan against its minimum and maximum.
Resolve what is missing, then ask the user or manager to reload the page and submit again.
Why is it blocked when the minimum is already met?
Meeting the minimum is not enough. While any goal is still waiting for approval, the manager cannot submit, even if the approved goals already reach the minimum. The same applies to a development plan that is still pending: approve it or delete it before submitting.
Minimums and maximums
Goals: the cycle can set a minimum and a maximum for each type, such as individual and team goals, and for the total.
Development plans: the cycle can set a minimum and a maximum for each type (70% - On the job, 20% - Learning from others, 10% - Formal training).
Having more items than the maximum also blocks submission.
These limits are set per cycle, so a rule from last year may not apply this year. The Future Preparation section of the user's evaluation shows the range for each type.
What do the statuses mean?
Goals proposed for the next period: pending, approved or rejected by the manager. A pending goal blocks submission.
Development plans: Pending, Approved, Completed, Canceled, Failed or Archived.
What not to do
Do not create extra goals or development plans to get around the block. Resolve the pending items first.
When should I contact Support?
Contact Support when nothing is pending, every type is within its minimum and maximum, and submission is still blocked. Include the user identifier, the cycle, who is trying to submit, the number of goals and development plans of each type, and the message shown.
