What mission start, save-for-later, and draft editing do
A mission stays in the status Building until you start it. You can leave it unfinished, continue building it later from the Missions List, and start it when it is ready.
When is a mission saved?
The mission is saved as soon as you click Next in the General step. From then on it appears in Missions List with the status Building, which means it is not visible to users. Milestones and objectives are saved as you create them.
What does Save for later do?
Save for later is in the last step of the wizard, Finish. It saves the mission completion message and the group and segmentation settings, and keeps the mission in Building. The completion message is required, so write it before you save. After saving, choose Back to Missions List or Continue editing.
How do I continue building a mission?
Go to Missions > Missions List.
Click the mission with the status Building.
The wizard opens so you can continue where you left off.
What can I change before starting the mission?
Everything: the mission name, description, thumbnail and background, the milestones and their objectives (including the action that completes each objective), the completion message, the groups and the segmentation.
What does Start Mission do?
Start Mission, in the Finish step, changes the mission to Running: it becomes live and visible to the users it targets.
What if I want to change a mission after it has started?
Open it from Missions List to go to Mission Details. There you can use Edit for the name, description, appearance, completion message, groups and segmentation, and Edit Milestone or Edit Objective for the texts of the journey. You cannot add or remove milestones or objectives, or change the action that completes an objective. For a different structure, use Duplicate Mission and adjust the copy before starting it.
