Hard Skills - List, Users, Endorsements, and Merge
Use the Hard Skills list to rename, delete and merge the hard skills your users created, and to see who has each skill and who endorsed it.
What is in the Hard Skills list?
Go to Modules > Recognition > Hard Skills. Hard skills are created by users on their own recognition profile, so this list shows every hard skill that exists in your company. For each skill you see:
Name: the hard skill name (and its skill tag, if one is set).
Users: how many users have this skill on their profile.
Endorsements: how many endorsements the skill has received.
You can sort the list by any of these columns.
How do I see the users linked to a hard skill?
In the Hard Skills list, click the number in the Users column of the skill.
The Users with HardSkill window opens with the Users List.
To open a user's profile, use the row actions and choose Show Profile.
How do I see who endorsed a hard skill?
In the Hard Skills list, click the number in the Endorsements column of the skill.
The HardSkill endorsements window shows who endorsed whom and when. You can filter this list and use Export to request a report.
How do I rename or delete a hard skill?
In the Hard Skills list, open the actions menu of the skill.
Choose Rename Hard Skill to change the name (and the Skill Tag, if skill tags are enabled for your company), then click Update.
Or choose Delete and confirm.
You can also select several skills with the checkboxes and click Delete to remove them all at once.
How do I merge hard skills?
Merging is useful when users created the same skill with different names (for example, "Excel" and "MS Excel").
Select two or more hard skills with the checkboxes in the list.
Click Merge.
In Merge Hard Skills, enter the Hard Skill Name the merged skill should keep.
If you see the Skill Tag field, choose the tag for the merged skill.
Click Update and confirm with Do you want to proceed?.
Can I add a hard skill to a user from the backoffice?
No. Hard skills are added by each user on their own recognition profile. Admins can only rename, merge or delete them.
