Technical Requirements to use the GFoundry Platform
The browsers, devices and connection we recommend for the GFoundry backoffice, the web app and the mobile apps.
What do I need to use the backoffice (admin panel)?
The backoffice runs in a web browser on a desktop or laptop computer. Use an up-to-date version of one of these browsers:
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Microsoft Edge
Safari (macOS)
Use an operating system that still receives security updates (for example a supported version of Windows or macOS) and a stable internet connection.
What do I need to use the web app (user interface)?
Users can open the GFoundry web app on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access. Use an up-to-date version of:
Google Chrome
Safari (iOS and macOS)
Microsoft Edge
A Wi-Fi or 4G/5G connection gives the best experience, especially for videos.
Outdated browsers and devices on operating system versions that no longer receive updates may have limited functionality.
What do I need to use the GFoundry mobile apps on iOS?
Operating system: the minimum iOS version depends on the app and on its latest release. The GFoundry app requires iOS 14.0 or later, and custom apps released more recently require iOS 15.6 or later. The exact value is in the Compatibility section of the app's page on the App Store.
Internet connection: an active connection (Wi-Fi or 4G/5G recommended).
What do I need to use the GFoundry mobile apps on Android?
Operating system: the minimum Android version depends on the app. Check the About this app section of the app's page on Google Play, which shows the Android version it requires.
Android System WebView and Chrome: keep both updated through Google Play, as the app displays content through the system WebView.
Internet connection: an active connection (Wi-Fi or 4G/5G recommended).
Which permissions can the apps ask for?
Some features ask for device permissions. For example, notifications are used for push notifications, the camera or photo library for the profile photo, and location for features that use it. If a feature does not work, check that the permission is allowed in the device settings.
